IN A NUTSHELL: Wasatch Academy trailed just 17-15 but the Huskies closed the first quarter on a 10-0 and were never threatened – too much Melo Ball and too much of everything else from Chino Hills for the team from Utah to cope with.
TURNING POINT: Melo Ball showed why he’s one of the best sophomore point guards in the country – especially in the first half when he had 20 points and 10 assists.
RESPECTIVE STANDOUTS: CH – Melo Ball 33 points and 15 assists. WA – Junior forward Emmanuel Akot 17 points and six rebounds.
UPDATED RECORDS: Chino Hills 23-0. Wasatch Academy 18-4.
UP NEXT: Chino Hills (Tuesday, vs. Etiwanda). Wasatch Academy (Monday, TBA, at Academy of Sports Science in the Bay Area).
